Akruti has come to visit Naina, says without the family Diwali is nothing. Akruti wants Naina to come home for the Diwali, to bring happiness, and Naina asks if everything is fine. She tells about Rohini, and what she is planning to take control of the house. Naina is surprised. Akruti regrets for having told her all the house problems and she says that she feels light. Naina says she needs some time. Akruti says that she will leave now. Her cousin arrives and listens to her, and comes to meet her. She wishes them good bye and goes home.
In Patwardhan house the father says that they should not put lights for the Diwali. When the decorator works, Kaka tells him to decorate the middle of the house. Rohini brings a candle as Ayee has no money for diyas and Kaka comes forward and gives the candle back to her and tells her to remain within her limits. He says to his brother, that he does not know what she does behind his back. Rohini insists that the candle is good for her mother.
Akruti tells her aunt not to touch the candle. She tells Rohini that she need not think about their diwali celebrations. They can fend for themselves. Rohini snubs her and Akruti tells her that some people forget that money is not everything. They forget that Diwali is a feast to bring light and love, and Rohini again snubs her with her ugly words. Akruti does not stop, she tells her that she does not know manners, and she tells that in their house love is greater than money.
Baba tries to convince her, and Kaka tells her that she has pride in her money and the whole time she goes on, running down Akruti, and the others just listen, and finally when Ayee wants to intervene, she tells that the right over the ho [...]
